Many of us have never had anyone explain to us to a marriage relationship should be. I was always going of the example that my parents gave me. Men work hard to be the breadwinners. While the wife does the house chores and her volunteer work and as long as we are tolerant of each other; that is an OK marriage. What a relief to know that a relationship can be much more than that! Be open minded and make sure that you are willing to expect the changes that will be the tools for your personal growth!

I have never had an experience like the Boot Camp ... it gave me such a sense of Reality in who I am, what I need, and how to get it! I can honestly say my life is changed as a result of attending. I believe God wanted me to have this experience so I could not only see myself the way he does, but react to myself the way he does (in love). I actually found a realistic purpose for myself ... The interactive exercises & games prove that love requires action ... In pulpits and programs across America, there is way too much "identifying" of problems with no action to resolve and no mention of solution. I am personally tired of hearing "about" the problem .... Ok. My best advice is to take that marriage bootcamp seriously. My husband and I went, dealt with some things, went back home and seperated 3 months later. Yes, after 10 months, we are still married. BUT, we did not really deal with the issues of our marriage. We forgot what we learned almost as soon as we left. As I watch the bootcamp on t.v., I realize that we did not even come near facing problems like the featured couples did. I wish I could do it again. TAKE IT Seriously and DON'T Forget.

I came into the bootcamp just 2 weeks after my husband blindsided me with wanting a divorce after over 12 years of marriage. I just knew that this bootcamp will show him that I was a perfect mate and all our problems came from his imperfections. Boy was I wrong! Boot camp was to heal my husband's hard heart. I thought I was already working hard in counseling, and for-sure knew what my issues were as I have read and studied and journaled much of my life. The layers of onion that were pealed back left me staring at a non-person, an "it" taking up space - person. There is no way boot camp could have made the healing that took place for both of us happen without God making it all come together. Too much was dealt with, too many issues were resolved. It's not for someone who wants nothing much out of relationships. It's for those of us who want to live, not just exist and are willing to go through the pain to do it. I pushed my husband to boot camp. As we were in the middle of boot camp, he's the one who made me stick it out. …came so close to just dumping the whole thing as it hurt like hell. But in the end I remember saying to one of the girls in our group..
